A Stage at the Premier Art Film Festival

Mondo Novo Production’s innovative short film “The Show Through My Eyes” has been officially selected for the 42nd edition of Le FIFA (Festival International du Film sur l’Art), the world’s most influential festival dedicated to films about art.
Since its founding in 1981, FIFA has showcased over 5,000 films from 77 countries, establishing itself as the global benchmark for artistic cinema.

Reimagining Toulouse-Lautrec

Through advanced AI technology and meticulous human curation, the three-minute film offers viewers an immersive journey into the vibrant world of 19th-century Parisian entertainment through the eyes of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Based on François Gauzi’s intimate biography “Lautrec, mon ami,” the film brings to life the kaleidoscopic atmosphere of the era’s legendary cabarets and their colorful denizens.

Growing Festival Recognition

The film’s selection for FIFA’s signature “La Nuit du Court” program at Concordia University places it within a prestigious tradition of innovative artistic storytelling. For over four decades, FIFA has been at the forefront of promoting and celebrating films that explore the intersection of cinema and other art forms, making it a perfect showcase for Mondo Novo’s unique approach to AI-powered historical narratives.

Growing Festival Recognition

Following its World Premiere at ICFF and earning the prestigious SNCCI Critics’ Award at Lago Film Fest, this selection by Le FIFA further establishes Mondo Novo’s reputation for innovative historical storytelling. The film exemplifies the studio’s unique approach to blending artificial intelligence with careful historical research and artistic sensitivity.

The screening will take place on March 16, 2024, as part of La Nuit du Court at Concordia University’s H110 Hall, offering audiences a chance to experience this groundbreaking fusion of historical art and contemporary technology.
